Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using ShelfIQ. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ShelfIQ.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the ShelfIQ mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Use of the Service
ShelfIQ grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; use the Service for any unlawful purpose; scrape, crawl, or systematically access product data at scale; or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks used by ShelfIQ.
3. Health Information Disclaimer
ShelfIQ provides general nutritional information and AI-generated health scores for informational purposes only. This content is NOT medical advice and should NOT be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have a medical condition, allergy, or are pregnant.
4. Product Data Accuracy
Product data is sourced from Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, USDA, and third-party databases. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all nutritional information, ingredient lists, or recall data are complete, current, or error-free. Always read the physical product label before consuming.
5. User Contributions
When you submit product information through the "Contribute" feature, you grant ShelfIQ a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that information to improve the product database. You warrant that contributions are accurate to the best of your knowledge and do not infringe any third-party rights.
6. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@11techweave.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the ShelfIQ name, logo, design, and source code — are owned by ShelfIQ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Product data from Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts is made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShelfIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on nutritional information or health scores. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to ShelfIQ in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero for free tier users).
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete Account.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
